The tourist card for Barcelona – free admission to top attractions, unlimited public transport and discounted access to museums, guided tours and experiences.
Barcelona passes for the top attractions (without time restrictions)
Barcelona passes valid for a specific number of days
This depends on the selected pass. Flexible passes like the BCN Essentials Pass or the Barcelona Pass include entry tickets for 2–5 selected top attractions (e.g., Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló) as well as often an audio guide.
All-inclusive passes like the Go City All-Inclusive Pass or the Turbopass Barcelona City Pass offer access to 30–45+ attractions, including museums, hop-on-hop-off buses, boat trips, and city tours. Some passes additionally include a public transport ticket.
Flexible passes like the Explorer Pass or the Headout Pass are activated when visiting the first attraction. After that, you typically have 30 days to visit the remaining attractions.
All-inclusive passes are valid for a fixed number of consecutive calendar days (e.g., 2–5 days). The Turbopass Barcelona City Pass is valid for 1–7 days, the official Barcelona Card for 72, 96, or 120 hours from first use.
Each attraction included in the pass can only be visited once. An exception are the hop-on-hop-off buses, which can be used unlimited times during the validity period of the bus ticket (typically one calendar day).
Passes with included Hola Travel Card (e.g., BCN Essentials Pass, Turbopass Barcelona City Pass, Barcelona Card) entitle unlimited use of metro, buses (TMB), trams, and local trains (FGC, Rodalies Zone 1) within Barcelona.
The Go City Passes (All-Inclusive and Explorer) do not include public transport, but do include a hop-on-hop-off bus ticket.
Passes with the Hola Travel Card cover airport transfer via metro (Line L9S) and Rodalies train (R2 Nord). However, the Aerobus is not included and must be booked separately.
Flexible passes with time slot tickets (e.g., BCN Essentials Pass, Barcelona Pass) offer priority entrance to the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, as fixed visiting times are reserved.
With the Turbopass Barcelona City Pass, there is no priority entrance. For many included attractions, you must collect a free ticket at the day box office, where waiting times are possible.
Children under 4 years typically do not need a pass and have free entrance at most attractions. For children aged 4–12 years, all passes offer reduced prices, sometimes tiered by age (e.g., 4–10, 11–12, 13–17 years). Some providers like Tiqets additionally offer discounts for young adults up to 29 years and for seniors from 65 years.
Most passes are purely digital: You receive QR codes or tickets by email, which you show on your smartphone. With the Go City Pass, you use the free Go City App.
Exceptions: The official Barcelona Card must be collected on-site at a tourist information (e.g., at Airport Terminal 1 or 2 or at Plaça Catalunya). The Hola Travel Card of the Turbopass is also printed at TMB machines in metro stations.
The cancellation conditions differ by provider. The Go City All-Inclusive and Explorer Pass can be canceled free of charge within 30 days of purchase, provided they have not yet been activated. The Turbopass Barcelona City Pass can be canceled until one day before travel start for a fee of €40 per pass. The official Barcelona Card (without Gaudí package) can be canceled free of charge via Tiqets until the day before travel.
Passes with individual time slot tickets (e.g., BCN Essentials Pass, Barcelona Pass, 3 Houses of Gaudí) are typically not cancelable after purchase, as tickets are issued immediately.
City passes for Barcelona are fundamentally personal and non-transferable. Each person needs their own pass. Tickets cannot be shared between different people or passed on.
